Appearance: Publicly she appears as a tallish elf with long curly golden hair and a pale complexion via the disguise feature of her circlet. As most elves, her face is unlined by age, she appears to be in her late teens or early twenties. She is breathtakingly beautiful, but when wearing her armor she becomes “Beauty incarnate” as one of her admirers called her. In her true form she looks much the same, her completion turns green and her hair takes on a darker green color. Two great white feathered wings come from her back.

It is important to note she has a strong emotional effect on those around her. She is supernaturally beautiful (Charming armor), Gives a sense of security and protection for those around her (Aura of courage and circle of protection from evil), Frightening those who are hostile to her (aura of menace). When adventuring has the Greater Aura of Courage up which inspires her allies to such a degree that it makes them immune to fear and makes them attack better.

Personality: Despite her power, Talariel is quite young, especially for the celestials. She has a tendency to be fascinated by things others would consider mundane. Her sometimes childlike glee about things makes her appear very young. However, she is still a celestial and even among the celestials she is considered wise.

She has a tendency to mother the rest of the party, tending to torn clothing, making sure they have places to stay, making sure they have brought enough food, managing the mundane necessities of the adventuring life.

She is also kind of a neat freak, meticulous about cleanliness and organization. You all know well the clucking of her tongue when someone has left a mess in camp.


She prays for her spells an hour before dawn, when it is the darkest and courage is needed most. Just before she begins to pray, she casts her normal daily spells (which all last 24 hours or longer) renewing them and then rememorizes them to have incase of emergency.

Lochlan was the third-born son of a house of minor nobles in <city1>. As was in fashion
at the time, when he was 10 he was sent to the local abbey to be trained as a priest.
After a few months of dodging the abbey scholars and generally not fitting in with the
priestly lifestyle, Lochlan instead began training with the abbey's templars.

Lochlan took to being a templar much more readily than being a priest. Six years later
he was ready to make his pilgramage to <city2> and be accepted as a full member of the
order. According to custom, he set out from <city1> on foot, and made the journey to
<city2> alone. Four months later he arrived, was ordained and granted the ceremonial
weapons and armor of the order.

Along with several other templars, Lochlan was dispatched northward to <region3> to
investigate rumors of demonic activity. The templars spent the next five years tracking
and fighting demons in the area before finding and stopping the sorcerer responsible for
conjuring them.

Nearly six years after he left <city1> he returned, to find that his brother, Martyn,
was now head of the house. Martyn explained that their older brother had been killed
for years ago when robbers broke into the manse and that their father had died of a
wasting sickness a year ago.

Something about the story didn't ring true to Lochlan, so he began investigating their
deaths. Although he couldn't find enough evidence to Martyn up before the magistrate,
he soon became certain that Martyn had planned the deaths of their father and brother
in order to take control of the house and assets.

When confronted, Martyn panicked, and attacked Lochlan. After subduing Martyn, Lochlan
brought him to the magistrates, who for the involvement in the deaths of his fathter &
brother as well as the attack on Lochlan sentenced him to life on the road crews.

Now head of the house, Lochlan despaired at the lengths to which the family fortune had
driven Martyn. Never wanting his family's (now his) wealth to be the cause of such evil
again he dissolved his house, erased his family name from the city's rolls and distributed
the combined assets among the poor.

Again Lochlan set out on foot on a pilgramage to <city2>, this time carrying nothing but
the clothes on his back and a simple staff. When he arrived, he spoke at length with the
head of his order and vowed never again would he own any more than he carried with him
that day.
