So one of the PCs in my game annoyed a faerie noble last night. Mourne (the PC in question, an Alienist) was negotiating for the use of land so he could build a strong hold (he's jsut taken the landlord feat from the SBG). After finding a spot he liked he was surrounded by grigs. After talking with them for a while he discoved that the area was governed by the satyr Rorchti. He asked the to fetch the saytr and proceeded to negotiate for the use of the hill and lake. After Mourne showered him with gifts includign a ogre mage's great sword and a cocatrice egg, Rorchti said that he could use the area to build on if Mourne did him a favour. A local nymph had stolen his pipes, and if Mourne got them back, then he could do as he wanted. So the next day Mourne went out, his fathful acomplice in tow, and found the vale where Rorchti said the nymph lived. Mourne spotted the mymph and proceeded to talk with her. The nymph, Reyni, told Mourne that she had only stolen the pipes after Rorchti had stolen her ioun stone. So Mourne decided that he liked Reyni much more than Rorchti, and that he wouls steal the ioun stone, exchange it for the pipes and then return them to Rorchti fulfuilling the letter, if not the exact spirit of the bargain. Mourne did this through judicious use of alcohol, lucky bluff roles and the use of Keogam's Ointment's neutralise poison ability. The exchange was made, and Rorchti was hopping mad, but knew he was outclassed by Mourne. So he fled back to faerie, knowing that technically the agreement had been kept, but that revenge must be had! So, good ENWorlders, how can Rorchti (male satyr Sor2/Fey Courtier4) take revenge? He has considerable resources behind him, but wants to aviod embarasment at court. He's also not evil so probably wants to avoid just trying to kill Mourne, more just make his life uncomfortable. Some ideas I've had this mornign include telling his grigs to cause all of Mourne's workers to dance uncontrollably, and letting Mourne build but not actually live in his stronghold. But they can be nastier than that. Ideas?
