Message: <blockquote data-quote="Templetroll" data-source="post: 2506418" data-attributes="member: 2201">In our gaming group the party rescued this elf guy.  The female elf dragon disciple in the group was pleased to have someone to talk to since the leadership of the party swung between the half-orc barbaric fighter and the dwarven wizard.  Reasoned debate was non-existant.  this elf initiated a relationship with the elf DD and the elf DD was very happy.The new elf told us of a place beset by evil and we went to help out.  eventually we worked out it was a vampire and during the course of trying to deal with that we got sucked into a strange place by a weird fog.  (DM doesn't call it the R word but....)Anyway, turns out the elf is a henchman of the big bad and we are supposed to do something to make him not destroy our land/world/plane.   The whole relationship and the town beset by vampires was just to get us to that place to be brought through.  Now, most of the party is annoyed and willing to kill the BBEG and his minion, the DD is grim and wants to inflict pain along with an absolute and final death on the minion.It has been a good bit of roleplay, although it will be a long time before anyone in the group will go with a relationship with an NPC again.</blockquote>
