Eh, I don't like Vista either. I'm glad that the computers I purchased recently included free downgrades to XP. I do still have Vista on my laptop, mostly from sheer laziness. I just don't use my laptop enough for it to really bother me yet. When I took non-linear editing in college, my biggest problem was learning how to use a Mac. The instructor was excellent with editing, but he felt like a Mac was so easy to use that he shouldn't have to explain how to use one. The head of my department felt the same way (even though the course descriptions specifically stated that the course taught how to use the hardware and software). That irked me. It wasn't too big of a deal to figure out for myself or find answers on forums somewhere, but the fact that many Mac users I encountered can't or won't explain basic functions is frustrating. I have several bad experiences with Macs and Mac users, enough that I don't want to use one and can't imagine ever wanting to. But to each his own. Not every Mac user has experienced my unique circumstances. I do think that having options in the marketplace is a good thing, even if I don't like every option available. I've seen people on both sides of the fence on music. I personally use Acid on my editing platform, but that's basically because it came with my copy of Vegas. I don't really do enough with music to develop a preference. For non-linear video editing, I prefer Vegas to Final Cut.
