PCs as dungeon inhabitants-seeking sourcebook

I know I've seen a sourcebook somewhere with rules for PCs as, rather than dungeon-raiders, dungeon inhabitants. Does anyone know what I am talking about, or, better yet, the name of said book and/or its publisher?

Sounds like Reverse Dungeon from second edition.

Yeah, that's TSR's Reverse Dungeon. Probably pretty easy to do nowadays with any old dungeon and the 3.5 MM.

Thanks all. Probably not going to buy Reverse Dungeon (being AD&D), but might steal the concept. Anybody know of anything 3e along those lines, or is Reverse Dungeon the only one?

I think you should be able to do this pretty easily. First have the characters make up their monster characters. Luckily the game makes it pretty easy. Then I'd get a module and open it up to the PCs. Tell them this dungeon is their complex. Make it big or small or whatever you want. Then determine their resources and let them plan on how to defend it.

B1, In Search of the Unknown, is mostly empty. It'd be a natural for such a game.

I'd probably use something small-ish... if nothing else, the fairly small number of players (and therefore defending characters) makes defending an entire massive dungeon impractical. Unless I let them run other denizens who are friendly to them. Might work... but I lack modules. My local game store does not carry them, and, as a minor, I am unable to buy them off of the internet easily. Know of any freebies that might work?

Firstly, look through Wizard's stockpile of FREE adventures & stuff...

Some of those will require you to do some translation into 3.0/3.5e, but it's not like it's going to cost you money to use those adventures
