Hey, all. :)

For curiousity's sake, I'm wondering: If a free "non-fancy" PDF version of the System Reference Document were available (one that mimics the SRD as it is now, at WotC), would you choose it over RPGNow's "fancy" version (with hyperlinks, "non-referral" spell descriptions, and graphics)?

Thanks. :)

thanks for the praise. unfortunately is not us that put out the SRD at RPGnow.com. Its Anna. :)

However, we are putting out Internet Arcana later this month (massively hyperlinked spells and items from the SRD +30% bonus content of OGC e-published material), so you can pick that up. I'm down to the final 60 or so entries and it's looking sweet-- close to 300 pages and over 3,700 anchors and hyperlinks.

eek! heard all the same night, got confused. my apologies to all involved for the misdirection :)

The unfancy one. I already made a basic pdf of the Modern SRD, eventually, I'll get around to doing the basis SRD, , and I see no need to pay for something that has features I don't need.

Now this is just me, but I'm not going to by an SRD product knowing that in two months, there will be a new SRD.

Plus I've already put the SRD into a Microsoft Reader file.

First of all, I would wait for the 3.5 SRD. Secondly, I am willing to pay for an indexed, searchable, hyperlinked SRD, but not that much.

I bought the SRD. It will at least save me time in the two months until 3.5 - which is worth 7 bucks for me. The bookmarks make searching the document a breeze compared to my own compilation, which will make my DM-job much easier.

I've got the PDF of the MSRD, and I prefer it over the regular RTF version, and I find it easier to use at the computer than books.

Still wouldn't pay for it though.

So yeah! Free non-fancy SRD PDFs all the way!
