PDF maker - Would there be any interest?

Would there be any interest in a low cost PDF creation utility, if I were to make one available for sale? I have one compiled that can take HTML files and turn them into PDFs, complete with title pages, logos, and security. The GUI is nowhere near as nice as Adobe Acrobat, nor is it as feature rich, but for the budget minded it could be an option.

It is basically a repackaging of a software package that is currently out there that the company charges $150+ for the Windows binaries (with support), but due to licensing, I can offer for a substantially lower price (like say $15) WITHOUT any support.

I'd give people more than a day to respond before making a decision.

I might be interested in such a thing for personal use, although if I were really serious about publishing I'd go for the full package to get all the tools.

There are programs out there already that will create PDFs for free. so I could just lay something out in Pagemaker or MS Word and make a pdf for free.

If you wish to market a new product successfully, it must have the ability to compete against Acrobat. If you can offer a simple product that lets you add BOOKMARKS when making a PDF, that would be far more worth it, since there are no known PC products that let you do that other than Acrobat.
