PDF sales figures (sorry, can't help it)

I know a lot of people are wondering about Malhavoc's pdf sales figures, and though there is a thread about this already, people might not be reading it. Anyway, the point of this thread isn't so much to give out info, but rather to announce a new milestone for ENWorld.

Heh, heh, heh. I know how many copies of The Book of Eldritch Might II has sold at RPGNow:

Less than Tournaments, Fairs, & Taverns.

Yes, that's right, TFT is now the #1 selling pdf at RPGNow.com, as of 4:20pm, Atlanta, Georgia Time, November 21, 2002. I'm incredibly proud that we've managed this milestone, and though I know Monte Cook still blows us out of the water from overall sales, and though I know Monte's fans will now quickly bump us back to the #2 spot, I just thought I should inform the ENWorld community what it has made possible. Afterall, TFT was a community-driven book, with half its material received as free contributions. We all have a reason to be proud.

And no, I won't tell you the exact figures. That's my little secret.

I read on Monte's site that he'd sold 14,000 copes of BoEMI in total. That's so far our of our league that I don't even want to think about it. :)

Congrats Guys.

color me green with envy, barely hanging on to my #6 slot.

(Ah.... I remember the days when I skyrocketed to the number 1 slot @ RPGnow in late January of this year)

I suspect that BoEMII (and III) will have substantially fewer PDF sales than I & II, mostly because everyone knew there was going to be a print version of II. I'm not sure, though; I wouldn't have bought I or II in PDF form at all, as I don't have a laptop and don't play at my apartment, but I've got the print versions of both.

While that's awesome and actually surprised me, you still have to keep in mind that RPGNow is responsible for less then half of Monte's e-book sales. They sell through White Wolf's site mainly. Monte has been very supportive of us and we return the favors when we can, but his e-sales figures for each of his books I would guess are double that of TFT.

:) Of course. I acknowledged that in my first post. He sells in more venues than just RPGNow, so he's definitely got us beat overall, but hey, we're still doing pretty well. However, since we're never going to be selling TFT at SSS, there's no way for us to know if we could outsell him there. However, because Monte is so cool, knowing that we've outdone him in one area is a great achievement to me.
