PDFs and bookmarking.

PDFs- With bookmarks or without?

Given a choice between buying two versions of a 90 page PDF which would you chose? In otherwords, are bookmarks a competative advantage in the marketplace?

I don't think a lack of bookmarks will prevent me from buying a pdf, but I do think that they should be there to make navigation easier. In the old end good content speaks for itself, but bookmarks just make it better and more complete.

I am like someone stated above, it be a decision maker by itself...

However.. There is a long term effect for me. If you have bookmarks I am more then likely to atleast skim if not even read some of your PDF, which in turns means I will probably put some of it into my game in some form or fashion. Then lets say you release another PDF, this time I will look at it and think, I did find some useful items in his last piece of work rather then, I haven't even looked at what this publisher has in his last PDF.. why buy another?

At this point in the game, there don't seem to be too many viable reasons why a publisher would not have bookmarks in their product.

That and printer friendly are two no-brianers I always check when I'm looking over a PDF product.

I don't think I would be too happy to actually pay for a PDF that didn't have bookmarks.
I might be willing to let that go if it was something really rare and hard to come by, but not otherwise.

Bookmarks are added value. They increase the functionality of the pdfs.

I've been dissapointed that a bunch of print books scanned directly to pdfs for sale on www.dtrpg.com did not include bookmarks.
