A friend and I signed up for the three-round D&D tournament plus a demo game for something Gary Gygax had written and come to the convention to personally show off. The demo game was a complete bust; after more than an hour and a half of "good old days" stories, Fred and I got up and left the room.For the three round tournament, the DM never showed for round two, so I jumped in at the last minute and ran it (after about 30 minutes of prep time, and yet I still got good ratings). For the third round, the DM was also a no-show.
