Perform checks?

First Post
I was wondering what kind of response players would get from really high perform checks.

The 3.5 Player's Guide says that checks of 30 will(over time) draw attention of gods. But what about checks of 35? Or 40? Or even 50?

Just wondering what other people's opinions about this is.

ELH = "Epic Level Handbook"

"Epic SRD" = "Epic Level System Resource Document", downloadable from WOTC's website.

And, er ... WOTC = Wizards ofthe Coast. Just in case.

Anyone getting 30+ on a perform check is really awesome. Think Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Mozart, etc. A bard in one of our campaigns got summoned to play for the king when one of his cronies heard the bard playing in an inn. Gods definitely take a heck of a lot more than a 30. Heck, at 7th level with the right feats, stats, etc. you could take 10 and get a 30.

Most of the time, a perform check is going to get you some money from the audience, free room and board at the inn, etc. If you play a lot, you might start to become famous... just think of modern day performers. What would you do if you passed Eminem, Britney Spears, or Johnny Cash on the street? (trying to cover my bases with that list...)
