I'm looking at the Spellsinger (Races of Faerun, p 185), and wondering how the pre-requisites would convert to 3.5. It says
So would a 3.5 bard with 8 ranks in perform (singing) qualify? Or would he need 8 ranks in, say, perform (lute) and 8 ranks in each of a few other instruments as well? If it is 8 ranks total, would 4 ranks in perform (singing) and 4 ranks in perform (lute) work?

Incidentally, there seems to be a typo in the spellsinger's spellsong ability. The DC of the enchantment is supposed to be 10 + cha modifier + the enchantment's level + 2. The 10 got dropped somehow.
Or so says Richard Baker here. He clarifies a few other issues as well.
