IT granted Perry Rhodan and several of his friends

immortality in the form of a cell shower after passing several tests, mainly in the Wega system. IT's focus to the material world is the planet

Wanderer II. IT has chosen the dove as it's symbol, but his genesis (which was a secret for about 2900 years) shows that it could easily be the butterfly. IT and

ESTARTU, another super-intelligence, refer to each other as brother and sister, respectively.

During most of IT's history, IT seemed to be a loyal vassal of the Cosmocrats, but has actually plotted the creation of a Thoregon for most of it's life, which lasts for

about 18 Million years now.

The niveau of matter spring/matter sink is the highest niveau of intelligence that is known in the universe (Cosmocrats and Chaotarch are entities of the multiverse),

created in a process similar to the creation of a Black Hole. Few things are known about the workings of these entities. The matter springs create matter with

unknown means and "spread it out" in the universe, while the matter sinks are purely destructive: They do not return anything to the universe.

After an unknown span of time, the Matter Springs evolve into beings that, lacking a better word, are called Cosmocrats, while the Matter Sinks evolve into

Chaotarchs.

AFAIK, only one Matter Sink and one Matter Spring are commonly known, JARMINTHARA, the Matter Sink, and GOURDEL, the Matter Spring. Both of them can

be found in the galaxy Erranternohre, where they have gone due to commands from their respective sides during a battle between Order and Chaos in a nearby

galaxy about 3 million years ago. The galaxy that the battle took place in was destroyed, but it ended in a stalemate. Both sides lost two each of their most powerful

instruments: Chaos lost two Chaotenders, Order lost two Cosmic Factories.

Chaotenders appear as dark spheres of nothingness with a diameter of 36 kilometres, as "a dark hole that has achieved intelligence and mobility by unknown means,

and that now served as a mount for an entity that hid beneath the event horizon" (Translated quote from novel 1987, Der Mörderprinz (The Murderer Prince)).

Chaotenders are built and commanded by individuals called architects, eternals or Crux. The Comsic Factories are commanded

by the Servants of Matter, individuals with powerful mental abilities. They come from various races, but they leave their body behind to enter that of a Maunari,

cyclopean creatures that are 6 metres high and almost unkillable. The main function of a Cosmic Factory is the capture of "Ultimate Matter" from the universal

quantum fluctuations.

Cosmocrats and Chaotarchs are the most powerful known entities of their respective side, as I have already said. Cosmocrats are said to live "beyond the Matter

Springs", whatever this may mean. Their mentality and their goals are virtually inscrutable to mortals, except that they try to influence the Moral Code (which can be

said to be some kind of genetic code of the Multiverse), just like their counterparts do. The Cosmocrats apparently strive to achieve some kind of Order and keep it

up for all time, while the Chaotarchs want to spread Chaos.

Both Cosmocrats and Chaotarchs act mostly through servants, though on rare occasions, one does manifest it's will within a universe. Known Cosmocratic

servants are the Knights of the Deep, the Servants of Matter, the Seven Mighty Ones with their Spore Ships and the Swarms.

Few Chaotarchic servants are known. The known ones are the Architects, the enigmatic Dark Birthes and the now-destroyed Decalog of Elements, which had it's

home in the so-called Negasphere, a place that was in a constant state of "decay" due to a manipulation of the Moral Code.

The Cosmocrats and Chaotarchs that the Terrans have heard about yet are:

Taurec and Vishna: These two Cosmocrats chose humanoid projections into the universe, although this severly limited their power (The so-called transform

syndrome). Taurec had the task to repair the damage that was done to the Moral Code. Vishna is an oddity: She had evolved from a Matter Sink into a Cosmocrat,

but later she went rogue because a Cosmocratic super-computer, the Empire of Viruses, refused to serve her.

Hismoon: This Cosmocrat manifests in this universe by burning out bodies of the Maunaris when he needs to. [QUOTE="Knight Otu, post: 200122, member: 192"] Repost from the old boards: The following is an overview of the cosmology of the Perry Rhodan universe: The Perry Rhodan cosmology mostly consists of the struggle between the Powers of Order and Chaos. The most powerful entities known of each side are the Cosmocrats and the Chaotarchs. Their genesis is outlined below, using the so-called onion layer model. The onion-layer model is a model of the evolution of intelligence in the Perry-Rhodan-universe. Thinking about an onion, the innermost layers represent the primordial matter. Nearer to the first layer, there come primitive life forms, such as bacteria, then animals and then intelligent races that have not yet left their home planet. Interplanetar space travel is the next step, then interstellar, and up to intergalactic space travel. Interuniversal travel is rare. The next step is becoming a super-intelligence. A super-intelligence is often a bodyless being of pure thought that is created from the minds of whole races, controlling several galaxies. These galaxies form the power center(translation?) of the super-intelligence. The primary measure for the power of a super-intelligence, however, is the amount of knowledge and wisdom it has achieved. This allows them to extrapolate current events to almost accurately predict the future. Super-intelligences are classified as being either positive or negative. This has nothing to do with good or evil, however: Positive super-intelligences form almost symbiotic relationships with the races in their power center, while negative super-intelligences exploit them in a parasitic manner. Ultimately, a super-intellience is drawn to the next layer of the onion. They concentrate the galaxies of their power center into a small spot and merge with them into a matter spring if they are positive, or a matter sink if they are negative. The terrans have met or heard about several super-intelligences in their history, but the most imporant of them is certainly IT, which was met in the year 1975 on the planet Wanderer. The planet Wanderer takes the form of a flat earth, and shows stars from an unknown galaxy. IT granted Perry Rhodan and several of his friends immortality in the form of a cell shower after passing several tests, mainly in the Wega system. The cell shower a device which dematerialized the user for an hour. When he emerged, his aging was halted for 62 years. Afterwards, it had to be renewed. IT usually takes the form of either a glowing spiral, sphere or an old man, but other forms are possible. IT's home is the Local Group of galaxies, but it is not there in the current timeline, because it aids the creation of a Thoregon, some kind of third way between order and chaos. IT's focus to the material world is the planet Wanderer II. IT has chosen the dove as it's symbol, but his genesis (which was a secret for about 2900 years) shows that it could easily be the butterfly. IT and ESTARTU, another super-intelligence, refer to each other as brother and sister, respectively. During most of IT's history, IT seemed to be a loyal vassal of the Cosmocrats, but has actually plotted the creation of a Thoregon for most of it's life, which lasts for about 18 Million years now. Xpomul tasked the Architects with the destruction of life in assorted galaxies and the manipulation of the Code of Evolution (The name of the Chaotarchs for the Moral Code). Also, he seems to be responsible for the rebellion of the Seven Mighty Ones of a different universe. There are groups and entities outside of the Chaos-Order sheme, who try to find a third way. Some of these are summarized here: Si kitu: Although she is of the same status as Chaotarchs and Cosmocrats, Si kitu refers to herself as a dwarf. She opposes both the Cosmocrats and the Chaotarchs as the "self-appointed" Power of Nothing, Keeper of the Second Law of Thermodynamics and Mother of Entrophy. The Knights of Dommrath: Survivors of a devastating battle between Chaotenders and Cosmic Factories in Kohagen-Pasmereix, the Kimbanians founded the Order of the Knights of Dommrath to keep their new home galaxy isolated from all external struggles while offering safety and comfort to those who live in Dommrath. They fear that they might be drawn into a Thoregon and thus, into the viewpoint of the Cosmic Forces. Thoregon and the Heliotes: Usually, a Thoregon is started by a Heliote approaching a super-intelligence and the super-intelligence stabilizing a PULSE, a region of space where no quantum fluctuations are possible. Sometimes, multiple super-intelligences form a coalition to stabilize the PULSE, as IT does with five additional super-intelligences.
