[QUOTE="TheLe, post: 2011137, member: 3981"] Personal Artifacts Artifacts are magical items of power. Some are unique, none of them can be made anymore, and many are items of power that are hunted after by hoards of people. Artifacts can represent the pivotal point in campaign or be the focus of it. Artifacts are also difficult to use. Many have rich histories and specific powers that are earth shattering. Personal Artifacts is a forty eight page pdf by The Le Games. The book is filled with over thirty artifacts. It has almost no art it. The only two pieces are both color. The first is the cover and the second piece is an advertisement for another one of their products. The art on them is good though. It would have been nice to see some of the artifacts depicted. The layout is very simple. It is two columns with some table inserted for a few of the artifacts. There are no borders or other items that would eat up printer ink. However, it also makes extended reading a little tough as there is not much to break up the text. The pdf is well book marked. Each of the artifacts is listed in the bookmark section making them easy to get to and easy to flip from one artifact to another. The book comes in a zip file that is just over half a meg. Inside the zip file one will find three version of the book and a preview of another one o their books, Synergy Artifacts. The three versions of this book are two pdfs one in portrait and one in landscape, and a RTF also in portrait form. The artifacts presented here are of varying degrees of power. For instance the caster levels on all the artifacts are not set in stone. A DM can make them all caster level 20 or have them grow in caster level as the character gains levels. This allows artifacts to be given at a lower level and have the power increase as the player character increases in levels. I think it’s a pretty sound and useful idea. Each artifact is given a name as well as a common name, a description of the artifact, the way the artifact can be destroyed, history of the artifact, where the artifact might be found, and the weight of the artifact. The artifacts are many and they are varied. However, none of them really grab my attention. There is good information here but I think it needs to be expanded on a little more. It is perfect for DM that is willing to take some time and expand upon the information here. Overall, it is an average product. It has a bunch of artifacts and for people looking for a few or possible the right one this pdf might hold the answer. But the lack of art and the bland descriptions just left me wanting more.
