PHB & Acid Arrow

How come the spell is in the SRD and not the PHB?

EDIT: Just checked the Errata, and it isn't even listed in there. What gives?

It's in the PHB as Melf's Acid Arrow. The reason Melf is out is because of IP and such stuff.

I thought that 3.5 got rid of the spells' "names" also in the books... is it only in the SRD?

Yup. They kept the names for old-time's sake in the books. The SRD can't use Melf, Mordenkainen, Bigby, etc...

I kind of like it better to leave the Greyhawk names off so DM's could better rename the spells for thier own worlds. It's called Yig's Venomous Spittle in my game.
