Of course the Deluxe Edition is more expensive. When has there ever been a "Deluxe" or "Special" or etc edition of ANYTHING that wasn't more expensive than the basic edition?

Beats me. I didn't even realize that there were two versions. Maybe it'll come leatherbound in a slip case? Who knows?

We haven't heard anything about a Deluxe ed yet. Maybe Leatherbound, but considering that it's about triple the price of the PHB, it might be the PHB, MM, and the DMG.

EDIT: Probably not though.

Well I hope this just doesn't have a leather cover...

the only reason I bought the last one was because it was supposed to have all the up to date errata printed correctly in it.

This 'deluxe' version looks like it's being published at the exact same time.

Yeah, this makes no sense. The 1st printing of the PHB will undoubtedly be full of typos and gaffes.

It makes much more sense to do what they did with 3.5 - release the deluxe edition after errata can be corrected.

It's an embossed leather bound version with gilded edges and a ribbon bookmark

The release date is in flux and it will likely come out later in 08, probably a holiday item.

Or would saying that be a pre-admission that there will be 4e errata?
