PHB2 bad binding

I just got my Player's Handbook 2, and skimmed most of the race, class, feat and equipment chapters. The substance of the book looks awesome in terms of balance and flavor. The art is pretty good. But what is up with the production value of the binding and pages? My book looked fine when I took it out of the Amazon box three hours ago. After holding it in my hands for three hours in an air conditioned room, the binding is clearly starting to warp and the pages too!

All of my 4e books start out that way. When they are new, the cover seems to warp upwards and the pages are wavy. But after a week or two, the warping disappears. All my books are now fine, cover and pages are both flat.

Apparently, its caused by residual moisture in the pages and covers during shipping, or perhaps even in the printing process. It will go away.

I'm glad to hear it may go away. I don't remember this happening with any of my previous 4e books.

Yep. This happens to me a lot too, and not just with D&D 4e books. I had this happen with 3e books and some gamebooks from other companies. But only gamebooks, go figure!

If you are experiencing the same odd phenomenon (which I think you are), your book will "heal" after a while being sandwiched between your other game books on the shelf!
