[PHBII] Dragon Shamans and Heavy Armour

Can Dragon Shamans wear heavy armour? I know they aren't prof. in it but are they barred from using it? I'm working on a Warforged Dragon Shaman idea and I want him to have the Adamantine Body Feat...

Adamantine Body doesn't require the Heavy Armor prof. This is one reason why Warforged Psions are fun... another being powers such as Psionic Repair Damage :p

So... unless Dragon Shaman is prohibited from wearing metal like a Druid or subject to Arcane Failure like a Wizard you should be good to go.

Taking a level in Fighter is also not a bad way to good for the class.
Getting Heavy Armor and Martial Weapon Proficency is a good thing for it.

Psions can wear full plate without any practical problems either. None of their class skills are affected by the armour penalty anyway. Oh, my psion can't jump very well? That is okay, I'll levitate.

But yeah, regardless of what the body is made of, a warforged never needs to be proficient in his own body.

IIRC, Armor Check penalty also applies to attack roles if you're non-prof. in the armor... so a Human Psion who wants to wear fullplate would be wise to avoid powers such as Energy Ray... or grab that level of Fighter someone else mentioned!

Another reason its good to be forged for war. :D
