Phil Edwards is not a TTRPG player and his interest springs from the D&D economic ecosystem (and by extension the TTRPG space in general) created by the OGL in 2000. From his YouTube page his content is described as, "History and personal videos. Business. Tech. French fries. Shoes. Civil war balloons."
This video is a look at the history of the OGL and interviews with representative members of that ecosystem today. It does touch upon the upheaval of the OGL crisis in 2022 and since we have plenty of threads with Haterade (tm) on this subject, lets try something different and keep this one positive.
Overall I think this is a great overview of what the OGL has and continues to create and the branches grew out of the OGL crisis.
