I'm curious about the unpainted ones, are they just mock ups or will some sets be available unpainted? (I know Wizkids did a range of unpainted figures).

25-30mm by the looks of those mini's.
They look pretty cool too ....I like the bases but they seem a little big nothing we can't fix though.

What?!? Another editorial gaffe by Wizards? Could it be?

Hoo boy, I just can't wait to spend $90 on the first printing of 3.5 so I can see how many times they screw the pooch in that little project.

Those figures look extremely good - I wonder if the pre-painted jobs will be the same? (Thus, are these pre-painted or are they not?)

25mm (1 Inch base) is quite large compared to the 30-35 mm scale the figures will be in; the scale looks right to me.

The packaging looks very attractive indeed - kudos to the people who designed those.

Cheers!

So far I really like what I see. I would also prefer square bases, but all of the plastic mini's seem to have round bases, most likely it is cheaper.

I can't wait to buy a few boxes and try this out.

When is the release date again?

Hmm. The miniatures look surprisingly good...

Now, the only question is... what sort of paint will they use? I'll have to strip and repaint the buggers, anyway, and it will help greatly if I know what sort of chemical I have to immerse them in.

Actually I would prefer bases that are slightly smaller than 1" for even more ease on the battlegrid. It's hard to say how big these are and how big the bases are without a good point of reference. I also wonder if those are really the bases that ship.
