The game is Pigs in the Streets, a homebrew I made based loosely on Dogs in the Vineyard. The system is simple and can be learned at the table. The game will be a hard hitting, fast moving cop action/drama. This isn't CSI where you are gathering clues. It's more like The Shield: Kick the door in and do what you need to get the job done. You just got a call on your cell phone. A Los Vatos gang member was gunned down in your district this morning in a drive by conducted by the 19th Street Ballbusters. While that’s pretty typical activity in this area, the situation gets worse. Los Vatos already attempted a retaliatory strike. During their hit, a 2 year old girl and her mother were also killed in the park. The media is already on scene and the public is up in arms. One of the candidates running for mayor, your captain’s brother, is trying to amp up the situation to earn electoral support. Tension here has been high recently and if this could be the match that sets the whole powder keg off. As an officer on the Angel City Violence Suppression Unit, it is your duty to come in on your day off and work with your team to help resolve the situation. You’ll need to respond quickly to make sure this situation doesn’t get any worse. Your job is to strike hard and strike fast. You and your team will need to intervene to deescalate the situation with both gangs and somehow calm the public to keep a riot from breaking out. You’ve got fifteen minutes to get to the station, get your gear together and get out on the streets. This is one hell of a way to spend your day off. Pigs in the Street is a fast-paced, hard-hitting cop game set in a parallel modern-day city. Characters are members of the Violence Suppression Unit, A SWAT/Gang Suppression-type unit. This isn’t CSI. While there will be a variety of game play, investigate and players will need to think on their feet, make fast decisions and act on them. Pigs in the Street is a homebrew setting based on the Dogs in the Vineyard escalation system. The VSU team will be made up of pre-generated characters given to players at random (or at their choice if the group prefers). No knowledge of the DitV system is needed to play. This game will contain adult language, violence and other adult situations that would make Eric's grandma unhappy. slot 1: Bernaise slot 2: Capellan slot 3: Duco Duos slot 4: OPEN slot 5: OPEN slot 6: OPEN
