Pigs

Could someone point me in the direction of stats for pigs, if they're available? I tried to do a search for "pig," but the minimum word length is 4 letters, and "pigs" didn't come up with anything useful.

If possible, I'd like stats for several different sizes of pigs, from Babe or Wilbur size to those really massive ones that can eat people. If the stats haven't been done yet already, would anyone be willing to come up with them? If you do, I'll give you full credit in the print version of Tournaments, Fairs, & Taverns.

Try this. It isn't perfect (couldn't remember the good saves for animals) but it is a start.

Pigs are smelly animals that make good eatin’. They are frequently kept as herd animals in pens.
Combat
Pigs fight only in self-defense. When cornered it will try to run through it opponents in an attempt to get away.
Trip (Ex): On a successful slam attack pigs can attempt to trip their opponent. They can not be counter tripped on a failed attempt. Most pigs use this a way to run away.

Stink (Ex): Pigs stink. Opponets must make a fort save (10) or make their attack rolls, damage rolls, Ac and skill checks at a -2 penalty.

Now, that just doesn't do the noble animal that is the swine justice.

And I do believe the "really massive" ones you're referring to are just domesticated boars as they're presented in the MM.

Edit: I guess you could call this one a "piglet", too, the word had slipped my mind at the time of this write-up.

"Suckling pig" is the term for a young, unweaned pig that generally
stays around its mother.

Combat
Suckling pigs never enter combat, if threatened, their first instinct will be
to crawl under its mothers legs and stay there, shivering. If grabbed, it will
try its best to wriggle out of the attacker's grasp.

Yep excellent writeup here:)

trentonjoe pigs do NOT stink! Pigs are cleaner than dogs and make wonderful pets (I have 2 pet pigs and a sty full of christmas roast:))

Attacks Bite+3 1d4, Slam+1 1d3

I also like the Trip ability and think it isappropriate
Trip (Ex): On a successful slam attack pigs can attempt to trip their opponent. They can not be counter tripped on a failed attempt. Most pigs use this a way to run away.

As for the big man-eaters there was a Write-up on the Andrewsarcus (Prehistoric hoofed predator) done a while back (Prehistoric Animals thread). Me I use a Huge Dire Boar in that role...

Here's the next one. I guess it could eat a person, if you like.

Hit Dice: 3d8+12 ( 25 hp )
Initiative: +0

Hogs are larger, sturdier versions of the domesticated pig. They
reflect most of the habits of their smaller cousins.

Combat
Being much bigger than pigs, hogs can be a tad dangerous but
generally don't attack people.

Skills: A hog receives a +2 racial bonus to Wilderness Lore checks
when tracking by scent.

I, uh, couldn't resist. I really should be working on my chain spider, but the pigs, they call me.

They say "Write up DnD stats for us!"

I dunno, I think I need to take my medication.

Flying pigs are normal, pink pigs with feathered wings sprouting
from their backs. Usually, the wings are white, but brown and
yellow are not unknown.

The hooves of a flying pig are smaller and wider than a normal
pig's, built more for perching than running along the ground.

Combat
Winged pigs will only enter combat to protect their nests and their
winged piglets.

Skills: A winged pig receives a +4 racial bonus to Wilderness Lore checks
when tracking by scent.
