devout worshippers of kord must travel to (insert city or area here) to compete in a wrestling contest at least once every 5 years.
the constest is held yearly, and many show up every year, or every other to show their devotion and display their strength.
"The Grapple" is a contest in which 2 opponents each grab hold of the others left shoulder and grasp their opponents belt from behind with the other hand. the first knocked off their feet is the loser. good sportsmanship is important, and there is no shame in losing, but much glory to the winner. magic is forbidden within the contsest, and those cauht using it will often find themselves exposed to the wrath of many strongmen, not an enviable position.
large contigents of grapplers can be seen on raods all around when the contest approaches, and merchants and tradesmnen often choose this time to travel as the roads are relatively safe with that many strongarms out and about.
many local strongmen who are not worshippers of Kord set up beside the roads in their hometowns and challenge the servants of Kord, most fighting fairly, some leaning on cheats. all these fight for a fee, with a percantage paid out to any who can defeat them.
many champions of local tribes and nations seek out the competition without any allegiance to kord, seeking to enlarge their reputation and status, but rarely make better than a decent showing, as it is said that Kord favors only hose who have shown him appropriate respect when entering the ring.
