Stress that the new DND is made to fit around a gameworld, not the other way. If you have cash again, check out CoC's magic system, it should fit the philosopy. Codex Mysterium may also be more of a fit than regular DND (this Codex is a magic system all by itself without throwing in a whole game world)  d20 Deadlands also offers a DND spell point system and some twisted monsters that scream chaos.At the very least, invest in some of Hogshead's reprinted WH Fantasy adventures so you can convert them over to d20.Ask the store owner if he want to play a Britonan or an Empire hero. Talk about what the PC would be like in the wargame. Finish the campaign and then go on to your DND world.</blockquote>
