Message: <blockquote data-quote="Aluvial" data-source="post: 5514662" data-attributes="member: 6862">Here is the situation.  I am running Rappan Athuk for my high level group.  We are pretty strict to the rules as written, but I do have a bit of wiggle room when needed for story...  The group has run across a 14th level fighter vampire, who has dominated one of the female PC's in the group.  After commanding her to approach him, he has bit her and is sucking.  So, there is some CON damage here.  Now, to do this, the vampire has to have pinned her opponent.  I've given a secondary save here at the thought of being pinned by the vampire, just because, but she failed.  So, I'm pinning.   I pictured this scenario as the vampire grabbing her from behind, biting the neck, and pulling her into a corner.   The vampire's back is in the corner and the character is in front of him.  He has her by the torso, whatever, and I want her to be a shield.  Essentially, she is in-between and providing cover. By the rules, is this possible? Aluvial</blockquote>
