I SEE the vision and WHY many would consider it one of the top two options if you wanted something of a more defined "baseline" ruleset for Mork Borg. It's got a lotta great stuff it. I like that it has tables for rolling up enemies and stuff for em.

Yeah. Even if you don't like the game, Pirate Borg is an essential resource for pirate-themed and seafaring games.

Seems Limithron is also taking a solid hit from the tariff situation: Kickstarter Update #19. They are not mandating any additional payments, but are asking people who can spare a bit of money to add additional products to their pledges to help soften the blow.

I did my part on both ends

I added to my Down Among the Dead pledge both the Pirate Borg Hardcover AND the PDF along with another dice set (So, now I'll have the Jolly Roger and the Black/Teal set).

I looked at videos showing off the screen in action on Discord -- the glow-in-the-dark ghost ship really pops when they turn off the lights. I already picked up Cavern of Cursed Tears. I am tempted to add on the screen as well, although my odds of playing PB in person are currently low.

I have the leather bound cover of Down Among The Dead. But, they make it sound like the default cover looks HELLA COOL with the colors and all. Now I'm torn on which one to get but I don't want to add a second copy.

Yeah, I'm in a similar boat. I know I want to get the limited edition cover of the Dark Caribbean book next year, and I love the limited edition of the Pirate Borg core book, but the default Down Among the Dead cover has so much going on that I kind of want to stick with that.

The Down Among the Dead books have begun shipping, per the Pirate Borg Facebook group.

EDIT: OK, so it sounds like a slight majority of the books have arrived in the warehouse, which isn't quite the same thing. Shipping sounds like December/January, so it'll still beat the Western Reachers and Glumdark.

For a resource closer to the real-world, I quite like the old PIRATES campaign book for Rolemaster. Has quite a lot of useful info and timelines and it's less tied to RM mechanics than many of their supplements.
