pirated books on ebay

Just thought I'd let you all know. There's some idiot on ebay selling scanned books on CD. I recognize WotC and Mongoose stuff in here and I'm sure there are others. Anybody this brazen deserves to get busted.

Interesting. At least three of those products are only available via PDF. It looks like someone's home brew file sharing.

Wouldn't eBay's TOS prohibit such auctions? If not - I'm surprised.

Of course, on the other hand, when I was searching on eBay for merchandise relating to the old D&D cartoon, most of the items I found were home video collections containing taped episodes of the series. Perhaps there's some principle at work there that I'm not aware of.

Somewhere on the WOTC website is an email address for their legal department. Drop them a line with the auction number and they will take care of it. (I've done it a couple times in the past).


It's quite common on Ebay, but they won't do anything unless the owner of the IP contacts them.
