Placing a contingency spell on yourself

Here's the question:

When you "place another spell upon your person" as in the contingency spell description, does that spell have to be personally cast by you? Can you get someone else to cast it? Or what about using a scroll or other magical item to cast it?

Thanks in advance.

As I understand it, it has to be cast by you, but not necessarily using one of your daily spells. i.e. you could use a wand or scroll, but you still have to be the one doing it, not someone else with a wand or scroll.

Thanks. Is there any particular rule or FAQ ruling or something similar that supports such a position? It sounds reasonable, but I'm wondering if it has been covered in some place that I've missed.
