Instead, he'll try leaping just before his attack so that he's striking downwards at them imp, thus getting a height bonus. Likewise, if you judge that István is aware that devils are vulnerable to silver weapons, then he'll draw his silver dagger as part of his move action and use it to strike at the imp rather than his crystal rapier.
