...chasing him into the pits of Baator itself The Old Man moves through the forest like cat, he slides swiftly through the underbrush, only stopping every so often check the earth and look back to make sure his companions keep up. Cedric and the two other mercs, Noi'nu sees three distinct prints, cut a trail that offers the least resistance through the wild. Where there's earth to be disturbed, the prints are light, the three lack packs, and they look like Cedric is setting a demanding pace. The six press on the majority of the day, many silently wonder how long Cedric will keep running. And whether they'll end chasing him into the pits of Baator itself. As the sun begins to drop in the sky, Noi'nu watches for a respectable camp site. He pushes to the top of yet another rise, but the view at the crest brings him to a halt. The others gather around him and gaze at the land beyond the Spire. The forest appears to extend as far as the eye can see, covering the earth in a dark green canopy. Waves of hills rise and fall, but the valley below them draws everyone's eyes. Stone structures, what can only be the remains of larger towers, rise above the trees, they dot the valley, hinting at the ruins that must lie beneath the canopy. Panaver is the first to speak, "Calebas. So that's where it all ends." Nara looks to the young man and then back to the cumbling towers in the valley below. She clenches her jaw and nods once, feeling the truth of the statement.
