Supposedly they helped him out big time at one point (possibly in overthowing Zariel?) and he owes them a favor in kind they have yet to cash in.I've always like the idea that he was basically an unofficial faction member who couldn't publicly acknowledge his membership for political reasons, and that they similarly didn't want to acknowledge for public relations reasons.</blockquote>
