A PC is on the Border Ethereal. He is with a companion who is holding his Magic Jar. The PC can see characters who are on the Prime, and co-mingles with one - that is, he occupies the same space. Then he and his companion Plane Shift to the Prime.

Remember, he's occupying the same space as the character on the Prime at that time.

So what happens?

He winds up 5d100 miles away from his intended target location, thanks to how plane shift works.

I'd rule that you can't use a Conjuration spell to land in an occupied space, just like it says here: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/spellDescriptions.htm#conjuration

You end up somewhere on the material plane, between 5 to 500 miles away from your last location (assuming you choose to appear where you were before):

Precise accuracy as to a particular arrival location on the intended plane is nigh impossible. From the Material Plane, you can reach any other plane, though you appear 5 to 500 miles (5d%) from your intended destination.
