Aasimar Variants "Good Touched" Template For those aasimars who aren't nessecarily descended from human stock, you can give them the following template. Only change the following: * Type changes to Outsider (Good). Their old type and subtypes are removed. This grants them Darkvision with a range of 60 ft. * +2 Wisdom, +2 Charisma * Acid, Cold, Fire, and Electricity Resistance 5 * The spell-like ability of Light once per day, as a sorcerer of their hit dice * +2 racial bonus to Listen and Spot. * Level Adjustment +2. This is in addition to the level adjustment of the base creature. * Paladin class favored. Note that this doesn't reproduce the Aasimar in the MM if applied to a human. Aasimars created with this template thus have a slight edge over those created otherwise, and so have a slightly higher level adjustment. High Aasimar An Aasimar descended from a higher echelon of celestial, or with a bit more of the blood of angels running through their viens, may retain more powers of their ancestors than your typical aasimar. Their racial qualities are as follows: * Medium-Sized. Base speed 30 ft. * +2 Strength, +2 Wisdom, +2 Cha. High aasimar retain the wisdom and force of personality of their ancestors, and also retain the power of the angelic choirs. * Acid, Cold, Fire, and Electricity Resistance 5. High aasimar are very resistant to the elements that trouble more mortal forms of life. * The ability to cast daylight as a spell-like ability, once per day, as a sorcerer of their hit dice. High aasimar are infused with the radience of halos. * +2 racial bonus to Listen and Spot checks. High aasimar remain very aware of their surroundings. * Outsider (Good). High aasimar are considered outsiders, with the (Good) subtype. As such, they gain darkvision with a range of 60 ft. * Level Adjustment +2. High aasimar are quite substantially more powerful than their more common kin. * Favored Class: Paladin. High aasimar revel in the smiting of evil and the crusade for justice. Low aasimar are quite intuitive, but suffer from the same cockiness and superiority complex as many genasi. * The ability to cast Light as a spell-like ability, once per day, as a sorcerer of their hit dice.
