Plant creatures

looking for some ideas for plants and plant-like creatures not yet converted in official 3E books, from older editions.

there are quite a few out there i'm sure, and i'm looking to find a nice variety.

The only ones I can think of are in S3 (Barrier Peaks) that were later put in the MMII (most of them, at least).

I'd like to see the noran (from Dragon Mountain) converted. Or how about the giant pitcher plant and Venus flytrap from Dragon #89?

Weren't there several Dark Sun plant monsters that haven't been converted yet? Also, I thought there were some myconids and/or phyconids that hadn't been updated yet.

the myconids have already been covered, MM2 i think.

we have the Aartuk, Algoid, Archer Bush, Ascomoid, Barkburr, Basidirond, Black Willow, Campestri, Choke Creeper, Dusanu, Forester's Bane, Fungus Hulk, Giant Sundew, Hangman Tree, Jupiter Bloodsucker, Mandragora, Mantrap, Phycomid, Retch Plant, Sashalus, Somnastis Plant, Thornslinger, Tri-Flower Frond, Twilight Bloom, Whipweed, Vampire Cactus, Vampire Rose, Vegepygmy & Thorny, and Viper Vine on the CC already.

beyond them, i noticed the kampfult, quickwood, strangle weed, and witherweed in the first ToH.

several, yes, from the DSMC:

Brambleweed/Bramble Tree, Burnflower, Dune Trapper, Esperweed, Plant Carnivorous (Blossomkiller, Dew Fronds, Poisonweed, Strangling Vines), Sand Cactus, Spider Cactus, Zombie Plant

Wasn't this in either MMII or FF? I recall a piece of really bad art for this by Dennis Crabapple (of course, I personally believe that to mention that it is bad art and by Dennis Crabapple is redundant because he is possibly the only irredeemably bad artist that WotC uses, IMO).

Hmmm, I seem to recall this in a published product. I wonder if it was from the Kalamar line?

you're probably thinking of the red sundew from MM2. and the hangman tree, vegepygmy, and a number of other plant creatures i mentioned were in Tome of Horrors, but no "official" 3E product.

There are some in the Savage Coast MC: Amber Lotus, Eyeweed, Vermeil Fungus, Scarlet Pimpernel, Gargonan Rosebush.

Also I don't think I've seen a conversion of the Giant Polyp yet.

They are not "monsterous" plants, but you might want to consider any "special material" plants such as Darkwood, Wolfsbane, or Mistletoe.
