Playable Plant player character races in 5E?

Here's a quick write-up I put together for the Wood Woad, were you to make it a playable race. Bear in mind the normal WW is a CR5 and thus I've reduced a fair bit of its power. I removed its Bludgeoning and Piercing resistances and its Charmed and Frightened condition immunities... but that loss is countered by not including its Vulnerability to fire. Although you probably could add all of them back in if you wanted to make it more exotic than your normal races.

Ability Score Increase: Strength +2, Constitution +1
Alignment: Tend towards Lawful
Size: Medium
Speed: Your base walking speed is 30'
Darkvision: 60'
Agile Climber: The wood woad can climb trees and other vegetation at its normal speed.
Plant Camouflage: The wood woad has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks it makes in any terrain with ample obscuring plant life.
Tree Stride: Once on each of its turns, the wood woad can use 10 feet of its movement to step magically into one living tree within 5 feet of it and emerge from a second living tree within 60 feet of it that it can see, appearing in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the second tree. Both trees must be Large or bigger.
Languages: Common, Sylvan
 

Warforged according to the actual text written about them, despite always being depicted as steampunk robots, are apparently actually plant creatures with armored suits built around them or perhaps they are grown within the suits and fill out whatever shape the suit is?

Either way, despite the exterior metal shell, they are actually plant creatures.

we faced a wood woad recently in our campaign and I got the giggles and couldn't keep myself from talking like the Impressive Clergyman from The Princess Bride...."Wuv...twue wuv..."
