Player Creating Base Clase- Need Advice

Hey all,

One of my players is a huge fan of the Shifter PrC. He was dissapointed that the class was dropped from 3.5 and decided to make his own Shifter 20 level class.

However, I am not the best judge of rules content. I do not want to disallow a class out of hand, but I have some reservations about it. My player posted it on the House Rules forum, but I was hoping for some advice from GMs in general.

I think I'd like to see the class start as a lycanthrope or something similar....

What do you mean with "dropped from 3.5"? I thought the general procedure was "unless we release a new version, the old one's fine".

So unless you have some issues with the old shifter PrC, you can still use it.

As far as I have been told, the abilities do not work with the new version of Polymorph. And, he always wanted a shifter base class.
