Player's Guide to Faerun - what rules does it actually update?

I'm about to start character gen for a FR 3.5 game and don't currently own the Player's Guide (although I intend to buy it in the next month or so) - what rules relevant to character creation have been changed between the FR core book and the Player's Guide that I may need to take into account?

The Hathran PrC has seen a lot of changes: no automatic cohort, no fear and greater command ability, instead speak with spirit subtype creatures at will (IIRC, there are spirit descriptions in the Unapproachable East), other Rashemi have some penalties when fighting a hathran, 8 spells are added to the hathran's spell list, place magic usable outside Rashemen one or two times per day (depends on the level), +2 on leadership score, may have a bbn or ethran as a cohort (by leadership), gains whip proficiency, no item creation feats (except scrolls, IIRC).

Requirements: Ehtran, leadership feats. Knowledge (Rashemen) 4 ranks. Arcane or divine spell access of minimum 4th level. Alignment: LG, LN, NG. Patron: Chauntea, Mielikki, Mystra.

That's just what I recall at the moment. I'll go through the PGtF and could give some info tomorrow.

A lot of stuff has changed. Regional Feats, many PrC are totally different (Hathran, Incantatrix, etc), many Spells have been updated, tho some old ones still work as written.

Yep, Ball Lightning for example: they've posted the old version, it seems. Does it now override the BL version in Unapproachable East?

If you look a little closer you'll find the summary list in the front is the same as the old version of Ball Lightning but if you read the spell description it's been changed.
