The game I'm playing confers backgrounds based on dice rolls, and the two characters have radically different ones (one comes from a life of decadence while the other works a menial job), so there had been some discussion of how the two are related.My style is give them enough of a backstory to anchor them to the world, but not so much that it prevents them from moving anywhere else if story developments in the campaign arise.</blockquote>
