Please help me , do I have this right?
I have been playing clerics since January in D&d 3.5 in Living Greyhawk rpga campaign . I am unsure if I did this right . Could someone correct me please if I messed it up?
Turning attempts
If Roargallifrey (who gets 9 turns attempts per day)the human level 2
cleric has 5 ranks of knowledge religion skill, the extra turning feat
and the improved turning feat, a charisma of 14 and uses both his
granted domain powers on a turn attempt of undead (say a 7 hd undead
monster) what roll would he need to destroy the undead?
I think the first roll (turn check ) is 1d20+ 2 (charis mod) +2
(knowledge religion 5 rank mod)+ 2 (glory domain grant.pwr. bonus for
every turn attempt) i.e. 1d20 + 6 = turn check result.
This number is compared to the PHB turning undead table as if
Roargallifrey was a 4th level cleric
(2 base cleric level +1 cleric level for the Glory Domain granted
power and +1 level for the Improved turning feat)
So I figure once per day he can roll a 13 or better and have a chance
of turning a 7 hd undead(which the Greater Turning granted power of
the Sun domain makes it get destroyed instead). I could still roll the
turning damage roll of 3D6+6 (2D6 + 2 [ch mod] + 4 [for buffed cleric
level] +1d6 for the glory domain.)but the damage will be in the range
of 9 to 24 hd. So the second roll is unnecessary if there is only 1
undead of 9 or less hd (and if he doesn't have turn resistance).
The sun domain granted power is only usable 1 per day. So after I use
that up for the day Roar can only turn the 7 hd undead. He can destroy
1 hd undead though.
But am I doing this right? The glory power is for all 9 attempts per
day isn't it?
Do I have the calculations right?
