Well I started running my alternate Post WWII Campaign. My group tends to a be very heavy in to fantasy hack n slash, so this time we all decided we wanted something different. The idea was to have the players be British operatives sent to occupied Prague to form a cell. Since I didn't like to curtail their character choices, I ended up with some great character's that I'm having a hell of a time getting together. The Basic premise is a four sided stalemate between the Russkies, the Nazis, The Allies, and the Japs. The russians were the last to get the bomb, so they kind of desintegrated, losing al the ..'tan republics to a muslim coallition. Ukraine is a hell hole of smuggling, and the russians barely have a hold of it. The Cast is: Recabarren 0'Brien: A half English/half Chilean Smart Hero aristocrat working for MI-6 with the Dilettante background. He is the Cultural attache for the Chilean Embassy in Prague, and is in a great place to get close to those in power. Phineas Peck: Recabarren' English butler, he actually is the leader of the operation. He is a Fast hero pointing directly to the Infiltrator advanced Class. Conan Mcmullen: The tech seargenat, their is nothing he can't build or repair. He currently is in Odessa trying to smuggle in the special equipment. Yuri: A gypsy, member of the Prague criminal world. His simpathies lie with the Resistance, and the Brits were sent to contact him. He is a total charisma slut, and he can get anything for you. Nikolai: A russian army desertor, this guy is now a driver for the Prague criminal underground. Probably aimed directly to the Daredevil AC. He's a friend of Vladimir. Jurgen: A former Wermacht scout/sniper who was demoted to guard duty. He is currenltly dissatisfied with his country, and is hunting down the SS troopers who executed his father. Pretty much on the wrong side of the Law, and pretty much a loner. I currently have a plot to get the first five characters together, but I'm having trouble getting the Sniper involved. Can anybody help me with a plot hook or trick to get him together. I can probably put something together, but I'm a purist and don't want to just lump them all together and be friends. Part of the attraction of this campaign is that everybody has his own motivation, and I currently have two sides in the party ( The spies and The mafia). I don't want to lose that, and my players are really enjoying the change of style. Also, any plot ideas you can come up would be great. There currently are no FX, but I'm considering introducing Russian Psychic agents, since the reds need some kind of edge. Also, you can't have Nazis without an UberSoldadt program, which is probably were most of the spying will lead to. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
