Hey All, here is another prc that I'll be using in my homebrew
world/campaign. Just wondering what you all think about it. Need some help with the requirments any suggestions would be great. So without further ado the.....
Briar Warden
The Briar Wardens are elite elven guards/skirmishers that patrol the Briar Vale. Which is an expanse of natural, and magically enhanced, undergrowth (natural thorns, briars, and overgrown areas)located in the Fangmaw Forest. They patrol this area as it exists as a natural boundary between the Frost Margin and the Elven lands of Ilythirr.
Usually a prospective briar warden is approached by a senior member which will act as mentor to the pc if he passes the tests given to him. If successful the pupil begins training immediately. It is during this time that the character forms his bond to nature that will later on allow him to call upon the abilities of this prc. Druids and rangers are naturally drawn to this class. Though multiclass druid rangers are also found as well.

Touch of Thorns(Su): The briar warden can cause vicious thorns to sprout from his hands. These 4 inch long briars allow the character to attack as if he was wearing spiked gauntlets. Activating this ability is a standard action. The ability can be used for a maximum of 1 rnd per warden level + wis modifier though this need not be consecutive and can be divided througout the day.
Witchwood Blade: Upon attaining the first level of this prc the character is gifted with an item that acts as a badge of office. This item is a weapon(the type is chosen by the pc) that has been created using witchwood. Witchwood* is a naturally occuring type of deciduous tree, though it is extremely rare and difficult to culture. A witchwood weapon is treated as having the normal characteristics of that sort of item but it weighs half as much. Items created in this fashion are considered masterwork items and can be enchanted normally. In fact it is not uncommon for higher level briar wardens to receive further enchantments to their witchwood weapon by performing great deeds. If the witchwood blade is lost or destroyed the pc can obtain a new one, however. This process requires a 3 day long ritual and costs a certain amount of gold. See below for amount. Or the character might even be required to perform a short quest in order to procure some more.
Briarbound(Su): Due to the dedication and union between the briar warden and nature the character grows to disdain anything that is not made of "natural material." Wardens may wear armor but are prohibited from wearing metal armor; thus, they may wear only padded, leather, or hide armor. (may also wear wooden armor that has been altered by the ironwood spell so that it functions as though it were steel. See the ironwood spell description) This restriction also applies to weapons. A warden who wears prohibited armor or uses a prohibited weapon is unable to cast spells or use any of her supernatural or spell-like class abilities while doing so and for 24 hours thereafter.
Briar Blade(Su): While wielding a melee weapon made of natural material(wood, etc) the warden naturally causes thorned vines/briars to "grow" upon its surface. These barbs cause an additional d6 points of slashing damage when wielding the weapon. To activate this ability is a standard action. The ability can be used for a maximum of 1 rnd per warden level + wis modifier though this need not be consecutive and can be divided througout the day.
Thorn Skin(Sp): By calling upon nature to embrace the character the briar warden is able to cause thorn covered vines and briars to cover his body. This adds a +2 natural ac bonus(which stacks with other sources of natural armour enhancments except for barkskin), the character is also considered to be wearing spiked armour while this ability is active. Activating this ability is a standard action and can be used for 1 rnd per warden level though this need not be consecutive and can be divided througout the day.
Hail of Thorns(Su): By using this ability the briar warden is able to launch vollies of thorns by making a a ranged attack(range increment is 30'), however. This can only be done while Touch of Thorns is active. The damage inflicted is equal to 1d4 +1 point of damage per warden level. The ability can be used 1x/day per level in this prc. Using this ability is a standard action.
Summon Thorns(Su): Through the intimate bond that is formed between the briar warden and nature they are
able to more easly call upon their surroundings to assist them when needed. Thus the following spells are considered one level lower(and are added to the list of spells that the warden can learn): Briar Web(MotW) is now a 1st level spell, Spike Growth(PhB) is now a 1st level spell and Wall of Thorns(PhB) is now a 4th level spell.
Black Thorn(Su): This is the briar wardens most potent ability in their arsenal. Once per day they may launch a "thorn" as a touch attack with a range of 100' plus 10' per level in this prc. If it hits the thorn begins to burrow into the creatures body at which point a reflex save versus 10 + Briar Warden Level + Wis modifier must be made. If the save fails the target is killed as thorned vines not only erupt out of the wound but also burrow into the victims body causing massive damage and death. If the save is successful the target manages to rip the thorn from his body before it takes root, however. In doing so the target still takes 2d6 damage as he pulls the barb from his body.
Witchwood*
This tree is found in deciduous forests though it is rare and hard to find. Through a special means of working the witchwood(which requires 10 ranks in craft: woodworking) it can be shaped into a number of useful items, both mundane and magical. Once shaped the item has the same characteristics of a normal item but weighs half as much. Note that it is also shaped by using the shape wood spell.
Witchwood items have the following additional costs:
Light armour(+300gp)
Medium armour(+600gp)
Shield(+300gp)
Weapon(d4 or d6, +400gp)
Weapon(all others, +600gp)
EDITS:
1) Added 1/2 elf to allowed races.
2) Added a duration to the Touch of Thorns and Briar Blade abilities.
3) Used the druid restrictions for the Briar Bound ability
4) Added more info and flavour to the Witchwood Weapon ability
