It looks interesting, and I like the idea of a fully-hyperlinked SRD, I just want to make sure I'm not buying something obsolete...

It came out in response to the most recent (newest and not-at-all obsolete) edition and even has been updated using the errata available since that time. You can also check the Demo versions available with the products to verify this before purchase.

It's easiest to tell the edition by looking at the Monster book (which will be getting a 550 stat block infusion very soon). We had hoped to finish this addition by now but finishing a scenario for DM Trev to run at the next Chicago Gameday (11-15-03) required immediate attention. After that, back to the final edits of the Monster Stat Blocks!
