You lose 1 BAB, but the saves, Evasion, and wis-to-ac should make up for it. Also, you need the unarmed strike for making trip attacks (you trip with the unarmed strike, then follow through with the rapier double-hit). </p><p></p><p>This build would be even better with reach.
