ENners, After two years and 58 episodes of the Canon Puncture Show (a podcast about tabletop RPGs), I still couldn't easily answer the question: "What's your show about?" I finally figured it out! The Canon Puncture Crew are tabletop RPG players who want to enthusiastically love and support the hobby. We like seeing and reading cool tabletop RPG news and we have opinions about them, too! We want to share this with our listeners, point them to cool happenings across the web. This realization forced us to re-evaluate our show format. We found it lacking, especially some of the recent advice-oriented shows. So, we're rebooting the show and unleashing a brand new style! What's the new style? It's like the CNET podcast/vidcast Buzz Out Loud style, except aimed towards RPG news and commentary instead of tech news. You don't listen to/watch Buzz Out Loud? Then think of Canon Puncture Show as a meme catcher. We look across the internet at blogs, fora, company websites, tips from our friends, heck, anywhere where we find some cool nibblet related to gaming. Once we chat about the cool thing we find, we give credit to who did it and how we found it and throw it in the show notes. That way we can all share in the sandbox. A warning that this show isn't just an RPG love fest. If something feels bogus or off-kilter to us, we say so. But we're far from negative, we like talking about things that make us excited about gaming. You can listen to us talk about the change in a Special Edition episode of the show here. But the best way to "get it" is to listen. So, please check out episode 60 of the Canon Puncture Show. Drop by our website (which has been completely redesigned to fit the new format). If you have a cool item to share, let us know on the site, contact any of us directly, or email the show at the show at canonpuncture.com. Thanks for your time, Rich Rogers Canon Puncture Show www.canonpuncture.com PS: Yes, we now think of ourselves as steampunk pirates...
