Message: <blockquote data-quote="sjmiller" data-source="post: 3847640" data-attributes="member: 17262"><p>I never really thought of it strictly as a post apocolyptic game style, but also as a Dark Ages style.  However, I kind of object to a style of game being given as the standard.  What if our group never wants to play that style?  We may want a more Renaissance era style, or more like the Roman Empire, or even the Republic.  I don't think I have ever, in all my years of gaming, played what they define as a "points of light" campaign.  The closest I have come is when I have thought about using the Wilderlands of High Fantasy setting.  Campaign style, which I feel this "points of light" thing is, should be a choice of the DM and gaming group, not decided by WotC.  If I want a campaign style and setting I will specifically buy one.</p></blockquote><p></p>
