Points of Light mapped?

Subtlepanic

First Post
So, Gencon scoops have mentioned the "Conquest of Nerath" strategy wargame - 2-4 players battle it out across a map of ruined Nerath.

As the board is a map - which I imagine will include a province for the Nentir Vale - isn't this a major step towards mapping a *significant* chunk of the PoL setting (way beyond the Nentir Vale sourcebook)?

(apologies if this has been discussed before)

(I think it is a good thing BTW - I'd love an official PoL sourcebook)

That's a good observation, but doesn't the game take place during the rule of Nerath? Since Nerath is 100 years extinct as a necessity of Points of Light, the map might not be good for much more than rough geography.

Some podcasts and interviews I've heard stated that they deliberately set out to map the entirety of the Nerathian Empire, possibly for the first time.
Since its a war game, I'm expecting a large scale map, with plenty of room left over for DMs to slip in cities and adventure locations they dream up later.
This product along with the Nentir Vale Gazetteer, and the next gazetteer (which has been hinted to to detail the a region called the Dragondown Coast) are the products I'm most looking forward to in 2011.

I kinda like that, the map is out of date for the pcs cause the last time an accurate map was made was before the wars
