Poision making???

How much does it cost to manufacture poision? I know how much it cost to buy. But, how much does it cost to make? Would spells that locate plants/ animals help or eliminate the cost?

Craft (poisonmaking) follows the rules in the PHB for making items with the Craft skill, with the following exceptions:

1- Cost of raw materials depends on whether the character has access to the active ingredients. If a supply is readily available, cost is 1/6 market price. Otherwise, the cost is at least 3/4 market price- if the substance/materials are even for sale at all.

2- Make a Craft (poisonmaking) check at the end of the week. If the check succeeds, multiply the check result by the DC. That is how many gp worth of poison you made that week. When total gp created equals or exceeds the market price of one dose, that dose is finished."

Personally, id use the rules in the Quintessential Rogue...they go into MUCH more detail. the prices are dependent on how much damage, to which stat, how high of a save, what kind of save (some are will), if it affects only certain types of creatures....etc.
