I use magnets on the bottom of my figures. I have a set of these chips. the metal center sticks to magnets.

An awesome alternative to placing tiles or tokens beneath the miniatures is to put plastic rings (like the ones from plastic bottles) *over* the mini. It is much easier to place on the miniature, and they come in such a wide variety of colors. Coca-cola Classic bottlescaps are all red, perfect for denoting bloodied miniatures.

Those markers are pretty close to what I am looking for. But they are expensive. I think the seller has jut bought wooden chips from somewhere, put them in a tin, and put a decal on it. Good for her, but costly for me.I use these awesome wooden markers.

They are cheap and come in a handy tin for storage. And they stack easily without the drawbacks (and cost) of magnets.
