I know there's already a good thread about Monte Cook's secret project for WotC, but I figured that, given the hints we already have, I could narrow it down into a few options for a poll. The options I gave are based on the fact that it's named after an item in the DMG. These are the items that I thought most likely to have a product based on them. If you choose Other, please post and tell us what you think the Secret Project is. By the way, this is my first time posting a poll, so if I screw up, please forgive me.

I'm just fascinated with people's obsession with the "Secret Project". I'm afraid that even with as good a writer as Monte is, he can not live up to the hype of this project. I think the hype is even greater then the Epic Level Book.

I don't think people are necessarily as excited about the project as they are about the Epic Level Book. We know what the latter is about, and have good reason to anticipate it. But people like me have too much free time, and a 'secret project' provides for a lot of speculation and idle talk. That is, I think we talk more about the Secret Project because there's more to say. Not to mention Monte's hint that D&D fans have been asking for a product like this for years...

You know I was kinda excited about this in the past, like months ago when I first heard about it.

Secret Project this, Secret Project that, Blah, Blah, Blah, it's the Book of Vile Darkness.

I still think, and will continue the asume it's just going to be the Book of Vile Darkness.

Any yeah, I can't wait to see the Epic Level handBook and Demigods and Deities,
Until I hear anything newsworthy about Monte's "Special Dinggy" it's not going to matter.
Man that the Epic Level Book is going to be good!!!
