Polymorph Self into Will O'Wisp

Lucius Foxhound

First Post
Two questions, in the errata'ed version of Polymorph Self (i.e., no polymorphing into contructs or outsiders unless you already are one), can you polymorph into a Will O' Wisp? Near as I can tell, they're not incorporeal.

Second, do you get the Will O' Wisp's shock attack (+16, d8). It seems illogical, but it's not listed in the SRD as an extraordinary or Supernatural ability.

If so, they're pretty cool, with a 29 AC, Fly 50 ft, and attack ability ...

Yep, you could.

However, +9 AC bonus is from deflection. This is always (as far as I know) from a magical source. Therefore as a DM I would rule that you couldn't get it, making your AC 20.

I would say you get the shock ability, but since you have to get up close to use it, it's probably not that great.

Also, it's shock melee ability is clearly based off of Dex instead of Str. However, it doesn't seem to have a Weapon Finesse (shock) feat, so I'm sure how it got a +16 to hit.

Wisps have no STR score, so DEX is used instead.
